Benefit Golf Tourney for Las Madrinas Guild / Children's Hospital of Central California
Young's is honored to once again be a sponsor of the esteemed Las Madrinas Guild benefit golf tournament, a prestigious event hosted at the scenic River Island Country Club. This sponsorship is part of our ongoing commitment to supporting vital community initiatives, especially those focused on providing essential services to the most vulnerable members of our society.
This year is particularly special as the Las Madrinas Guild is celebrating its sixtieth anniversary of dedicated service in raising funds for children in need of health care. For six decades, this remarkable organization has been at the forefront of making a significant difference in the lives of countless children and their families, demonstrating unwavering compassion and commitment to their well-being.
The Las Madrinas Guild, also known as 'The Godmothers', held its first formal meeting on March 9, 1950. Since then, it has grown into an influential force of benevolence and support within the community. Notably, our Guild was one of the original 13 guilds formed to support Valley Children's Hospital, a testament to its foundational role in the healthcare landscape of our region.
In 2001, Valley Children's Hospital underwent a significant transformation, being renamed to Children's Hospital Central California. This change marked a new chapter in the hospital's history, reflecting its expanded reach and enhanced capabilities in providing top-notch medical care to children across Central California. Despite these changes, the mission of the Las Madrinas Guild remained steadfast – to support and augment the efforts of the hospital in delivering exceptional pediatric healthcare.
By sponsoring the Las Madrinas Guild benefit golf tournament, Young's reaffirms its dedication to contributing positively to our community. This event is not just a gathering of golf enthusiasts; it's a convergence of individuals and organizations united by a common purpose – to support a cause that goes beyond the fairways of River Island Country Club. The tournament serves as a vital fundraiser, playing a crucial role in generating the necessary resources to aid the hospital in its noble mission.
As we join hands with the Las Madrinas Guild and the community for this significant event, we are reminded of the power of collective effort in making a difference. Our support for the tournament and the Guild's endeavors is a reflection of our broader commitment to social responsibility and community involvement. We are proud to be part of an event that not only celebrates a legacy of service and care but also looks forward to a future where every child has access to the healthcare they need and deserve.
