Operations Positions
Young’s Operations positions are boots on the ground, making it happen 24/7, 365. These are the people helping the drivers get it done.
Office Positions
These are the behind the scenes people keeping track of everything happening out on the road. From hiring and keeping people safe, to accounting for every load, these people get it done.

With more than 200 trucks and 900 sets of trailers to keep on the road, it takes a dedicated group of hard working men and women maintaining our equipment 24/7. These people aren’t afraid to get a little dirt on their hands!
Operations Positions
Dispatchers
Our dispatchers are an integral part of the process of ag trucking. They coordinate the pick-up and drop off of product as efficiently as possible with the resources available.
Full-Time Dispatcher:
This position is a full-time job with benefits. Our dispatcher position is a great opportunity for bilingual (English and Spanish) people that have excellent customer service and computer skills. A person in this role is responsible for dispatching Class-A drivers delivering loads throughout California.
Seasonal Dispatcher:
Like their Full-Time counterparts, our seasonal dispatchers are an integral part of our operation, coordinating with drivers and processors to get the loads picked up on time. Customer service is key, and the ability to speak both English and Spanish is a must. This is a great summer position for someone early in their management career or looking to build their expertise in the logistics business. This position runs each summer from late June to early October.
Fieldman
Our Fieldmen play an important role in keeping our trucks and trailers up and running while they are working. Their primary job is to service the fleet in the field. For example, they are responsible for going on road calls, fixing flat tires on the job, etc. Their secondary job is to help with coordinating field movement, like making sure trucks are going to the correct places, making sure drivers know where to go, and assisting dispatch in keeping things running smoothly and efficiently. Fieldman are a link between drivers, growers, and dispatchers.
office and safety Positions
Safety Officer
Full-Time Safety Officer:
A Safety Officer’s job duties include patrolling routes, performing inspections, responding to incidents, documenting accidents or injuries, training drivers and conducting road tests. This is a full-time, salaried position with competitive pay and benefits included.
Seasonal Safety Officer:
Just like a full-time Safety Officer, a Seasonal Safety officer is responsible for patrolling routes, performing inspections, responding to incidents, documenting accidents or injuries, training drivers and conducting road tests. This position supports our tomato operations in the summer.

Shop Positions
Diesel Shop Mechanics
Our Diesel Tech’s do it all. We don’t compartmentalize the work. We will give you the training you need to work on all aspects of the latest Diesel and Compressed Natural Gas trucks from builders like Peterbilt and Freightliner. If you want to move fast, build your skills, and make an impact, this is the place for you.
Trailer Shop Mechanics
Our fleet of over 900 sets of trailers are always on the move, and so are our trailer mechanics. This team concentrates on the functional safety of our trailers with tires, brakes, lights and more. It’s fast paced, it’s dirty, it’s fun.
Fabricator/ Welder
Our fabricators are highly skilled individuals who perform the heavy-duty maintenance on our trailers. Tearing trailers down to their bare bones and building them back up again is all in a normal day’s work for this team.
